I can't remember when I did this...it was a bad time, a few years back.

Oil paint on canvas board.

Spooky.

It's not so often I see something of quality in the recent deviations part of the main page. This is so haunting. The colors... Wow.
Thank you very much. :)
My friends have said similar things, that they like it but could never hang it on thier wall because it's a bit scary.

I like how the eyes came out so different.
The colurs are amazing

It has been said, 'time heals all wounds.' I do not agree. The wounds remain. In time, the mind, (protecting its sanity), covers them with scar tissue and the pain lessens. But, it is never gone.

Thank you, it was a surprise to me in a way, as I work I'm so concentrated...moving around the canvas can really zone me out, so when I was finished I stood back and it kind of freaked me out.

Then I realised that I'd been inhaling paint-thinners throughout...

...kidding. ;)
LMAO XD

I have never seen a portrait that has made me feel such an urge to shed a tear. I feel terribly corny saying this, but this piece is upsetting......not in a negative as any reaction is good. This face has endured beyond what I can imagine. Amazing piece. And by the way - you are friggin amazing with oils.

Wow...thank you for commenting.
I grew up writing poetry, using it as a pressure valve to eliminate the demons residing within, if but temporarily. I created this when I suddenly found myself in a place where words were utterly redundant.

I've always felt as though oil paints don't like me very much, so I'm glad that you see some quality there.

Thank you! x
